LAS: What advice do you have for career driven women looking for love? It’s humbling and honorable to just be able to say that I’m Nyla’s mother, before anything. It’s an overwhelming emotional rollercoaster of all things, buts it’s a magical, peaceful space to be in. ![]() Like, I don’t remember not being a mother now. MA: Nyla’s about to be three in a couple days, and I feel like she’s been here my entire life. LAS: How has becoming a mother changed you? Ultimately, it wasn’t even about the music, it wasn’t about career, this is what I wanted as a human being. So, I think with the Nyla album is when I finally had that. The prior music that I’ve created was all aspiration, things that I put into the Universe to come to me. The Nyla album is the first time I’ve created in a space in love like that. Her second studio album, “Friends & Lovers” was released in 2014 and received two MOBO Award nominations.Solo artist,Marsha Ambrosius, known for classic hits like “Getting Late” and “Say Yes” with former R&B group Floetry, says she cooking up a new album and a few other surprise for fans in 2020. In 2011 she was also nominated for two Grammy Awards. At the 2011 BET Awards she took away the Centric Award, and was nominated for the Best Female Artist R&B Artist in 2012. The first single off the album, “Hope She Cheats On You (With A Basketball Player)” peaked at Number 22 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Her first debut album, “Late Nights And Early Mornings” was released on 1 March 2011. Dre’s franchise, Aftermath Entertainment, as a solo musician/ producer/ and music writer among a number of other labels, ultimately signing with J Records. In early 2009 Ambrosius was approached with an offer to join Dr. By 2002 they signed with DreamWorks Records and released their first album, entitled “Floetic.” While performing in Philadelphia the pair met Darren “Limitless” Henson, Keith “Keshon” Pelzer and began recording together. In 2000 the pair went to the United States to perform. Born on 8 August 1977 in Liverpool, England, Ambrosius met fellow Floetry member Natalie Stewart by bonding over their love for basketball while both attending the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. ![]()
